The novelty, designated S1R72V13, joins the S1R72V large-scale integrated circuit family.

Due to these advantages, the S1R72V17, like other products in the S1R72V series, is excellent for installation in portable electronic equipment. In particular, the controller can be used for high-speed downloading of multimedia data, such as sound recordings, to mobile terminals.
Regarding the purpose of registers and functionality, the S1R72V13 controller is fully compatible with the predecessor model S1R72V17. This is said to allow existing software to be used without any rework.
